I am My father’s daughter

I Am My Father’s Daughter
My dad taught me to dream.
Second, he taught me to love learning.
Third, he taught me to love freedom.
Fourth, to always see the good.
He also taught me that anything was possible.
And that I was strong and capable of achieving greatness.
My Dad taught me to use my voice and stand for what I believed in.
Most importantly, my dad told me I would change the world.

Perspective
The other day I was at my parents’ talking to one of my sisters. At the time, She was struggling and asking some questions. And I was sharing some ideas, perspectives, and painting a vision for her.
Later when we were leaving my mom hugged me. And then she said, “As I watched you talk… I saw your dad. You sounded so much like him. You have his wisdom.”
In my opinion, there is no higher compliment that I could be given.
Lastly, My father was a visionary man. And he could breathe life into your dreams. He knew that we were here for a purpose. In addition, the greatest thing we could do is to step into who we were meant to be.
I Am My Father’s Daughter
My Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. And Alzheimer’s has been stealing him from us for too many years. It has been a while since he’s looked at me and said “Amy, I’m so proud of you.”
But he said it enough that I’ll never doubt it.
He isn’t doing so well right now and my heart hurts.
However, I find gratitude knowing that I will continue his legacy of teaching. Especially, teaching the world to dream bigger, to love learning, and stand for freedom. Those gifts he passed to me and I will share them with those I meet.
I am my father’s daughter.

Hi! I'm Amy Earle
When I was a kid I was obsessed with government and history. I was sure I’d be a high school history teacher. Instead I chose to homeschool my own children. Soon after beginning, I was introduced to the principles of leadership education and the importance of teaching children how to think, instead of simply filling them with what to think. This led me on a journey that changed everything for me. We’ve gone the path less traveled and it has made all the difference.
